UV absorber UV-531

UV absorber UV-531 is a benzophenone-type UV absorber, which absorbs ultraviolet light at 270–340 nm. It features good compatibility, low volatility, excellent dispersibility, low migration, favorable thermal stability and high absorption efficiency. It is suitable for polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polyurethane, polycarbonate, ABS resin, phenolic resin, alkyd resin, epoxy resin, acrylic resin and polymethyl methacrylate, as well as powder coatings. The typical dosage is 0.1–0.5%.

Application: It works well in drying phenolic and alkyd varnishes, polyurethanes, acrylics, epoxies and other air-drying products, automotive refinish coatings, powder coatings, polyurethanes and rubber articles to deliver reliable light stabilization. It is widely applied in PE, PVC, PP, PS, PC, PMMA and more substrates.
