UV Absorber UV-531 (Antioxidant 3052) is a versatile antioxidant used to provide stability in the processing of adhesives, elastomers, and plastics. Unlike traditional phenolic antioxidants, it effectively traps alkyl free radicals (carbon free radical traps), particularly under hypoxic conditions of high temperature and high shear processing.
