Imported UV absorber UV-1084

Riquit® UV Absorber UV-1084 is a thiobisphenol nickel salt hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) with dual functions of light stabilization and antioxidation. It absorbs ultraviolet light at 270–330 nm, with an absorption peak at 303 nm. UV-1084 exhibits synergistic effects with other stabilizers, especially UV absorbers, and effectively protects a wide range of materials from UV radiation. It works by scavenging free radicals generated by UV light to prevent them from reacting with and damaging the substrate. UV-1084 features a broad absorption spectrum covering both UVA and UVB wavelengths for versatile applications.

It delivers high temperature resistance, extraction resistance, low volatility, low migration, excellent chemical stability and superior color fastness. It also acts as a dyeing auxiliary to enhance color luminosity and brightness, and resists acid attack from agrochemicals.

Thanks to its unique chemical structure, UV-1084 provides long-lasting UV protection even under harsh conditions such as high temperature and high humidity. It improves color retention and gloss of substrates to upgrade surface appearance and service life. UV-1084 is compatible with multiple substrates including polyolefins, PVC, ABS, polycarbonate and polyester. Typical applications include automotive parts, outdoor furniture, construction materials and packaging. It is approved for food-contact scenarios and complies with major global regulations such as FDA, EU standards and REACH. Another advantage is easy handling and incorporation into manufacturing processes. It is compatible with other additives including antioxidants, slip agents and processing aids, enabling formulators to customize formulations as required.

Applications Suitable for polyethylene and polypropylene, especially for PE films and PP turf under high-temperature processing. Recommended for PE and PP agricultural films and tapes. Typical dosage: 0.1–0.5%.
