Riquit® UV Absorber UV-1084 is a thiobisphenol nickel salt hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) with dual functions of light stabilization and antioxidation. It absorbs ultraviolet light at 270–330 nm, with an absorption peak at 303 nm. UV-1084 exhibits synergistic effects with other stabilizers, especially UV absorbers, and effectively protects a wide range of materials from UV radiation. It works by scavenging free radicals generated by UV light to prevent them from
