Ruite® UV-B-75T is a liquid thermal & light stabilizer blend, consisting of benzotriazole-based UV absorber, basic hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) and phenolic antioxidant, specially developed for adhesives and sealants.
UV-B-75T inhibits degradation of polyurethane articles such as shoe soles, musical instrument and door panels, steering wheels, window sealants, headrest and armrest brackets caused by processing, light and weathering. It has been proven to resist blooming and crystallization in many tested polyurethane systems.
UV-B-75T is especially suitable for polyurethane systems, including polyurethane plastics (reaction injection molded polyurethane products and thermoplastic polyurethanes), sealants, adhesives, as well as polyurethane coatings for tarpaulins, flooring and synthetic leather. It can be readily incorporated into aromatic or aliphatic polyurethane systems for thermoplastic injection molding, semi-rigid integral foams, in-mold skinning and coating applications. It works in both natural and pigmented materials. UV-B-75T is particularly recommended for light-stabilized pigment pastes for the above systems.
From the production perspective, UV-B-75T is pumpable, completely dust-free during handling, convenient for automatic metering and feeding, and shortens mixing time. It improves production efficiency by combining weighing and metering in a single step. No additive sedimentation occurs in polyols even at low temperatures.
Recommended dosage: 0.2% ~ 1.5%, subject to substrate type and end-use requirements: Two-component reactive integral foam materials: 0.6%~1.5% Adhesives: 0.5%~1.0% Sealants: 0.2%~0.5%
