Ruite HS-1790T is an outstanding hindered phenol color protection stabilizer. Its unique triphenol structure with a cyanuric acid core endows it with excellent color retention and stabilizing performance. It is specially developed to address aging and yellowing of materials during processing and service. It can be widely used in a variety of polymer materials to effectively guarantee stable material properties and long-lasting appearance.
Chemical Category: Hindered phenol color protection stabilizer with a cyanuric acid-centered triphenol structure. Appearance: White powder with fine and uniform particles, easy to disperse in various systems. Solid Content: Up to 99.4%, featuring high purity and high efficiency with extremely low impurities, barely exerting adverse impacts on applied systems. Melting Point: 159.0–162.1℃. This melting range enables good adaptability to different processing temperatures and ensures stable antioxidant performance during material forming.
Via active hydroxyl groups in its hindered phenol structure, HS-1790T captures free radicals generated under heat, oxygen, light and other environmental stresses and terminates free radical chain reactions, thus inhibiting oxidative degradation of polymers. The cyanuric acid core and distinctive molecular conformation further improve its stability and antioxidant efficiency. It continuously protects polymer molecular chains under complex conditions and prevents aging phenomena such as yellowing and embrittlement.
Polyurethane: During synthesis, forming and subsequent service of polyurethane, HS-1790T remarkably reduces oxidation-induced performance deterioration and retains key properties including elasticity and strength. It is widely used in PU foam, elastomers, coatings and other products to avoid discoloration and deterioration over long-term service.
Polypropylene: For injection-molded PP plastic parts such as automotive interior trims and home appliance housings, as well as extruded PP pipes, the addition of HS-1790T resists thermal history during processing and oxidative aging from long-term outdoor exposure or indoor service. It extends service life and maintains a smooth surface.
Polyester: Applied in spinning and weaving of polyester fibers, as well as processing of polyester films and bottle chips. It effectively prevents fiber yellowing and brittle fracture, preserves the transparency and mechanical properties of films, and improves the quality and market competitiveness of polyester products.
Polyamide Fiber: Throughout the production and application of polyamide fibers for textile fabrics, industrial ropes and other fields, HS-1790T suppresses oxidation and retains fiber strength, toughness and color, enabling resistance to repeated washing, friction, light exposure and other harsh working conditions.
Others: Also suitable for polyolefin pipes to secure long-term stability of hot-water delivery pipes under high temperature and high pressure; for film products to prevent aging and embrittlement that impair packaging performance; for home appliance housings to maintain a fresh appearance; and for food packaging materials. It meets antioxidant requirements while complying with food safety standards without contaminating or staining food.
Excellent Resistance to Gas Fading: Effectively prevents color fading caused by oxidative gases, keeping bright color of finished products for a long time. It delivers superior performance for outdoor plastic articles and colored fiber products.
Excellent Bloom Resistance: Hardly migrates out to the material surface during long-term service or high-temperature processing. It avoids surface contamination and adverse effects on appearance and properties, and ensures uniform stability of the bulk material.
High Resistance to Extraction: Its molecular structure and relatively high molecular weight prevent it from being extracted when exposed to hot water, washing solutions and other media. It is especially suitable for demanding applications such as hot-water PP pipes and maintains antioxidant performance under severe conditions.
Good Processing Stability: Tolerates screw shearing, high-temperature plasticization and other processing conditions, and stably exerts antioxidant effects. It reduces the risk of material degradation during processing and improves production efficiency and yield.
The dosage of HS-1790T varies according to different materials and application scenarios.
For general processing of polyurethane, polypropylene, polyester, polyamide fiber and other materials, the recommended dosage is 0.1%–0.5% (based on the total weight of materials). Fine-tuning can be made according to product thickness, expected service life and ambient conditions.
For high-demanding applications such as hot-water PP pipes and polyolefin articles exposed to prolonged outdoor sunlight, the dosage may be increased appropriately to 0.5%–1% to provide sufficient antioxidant protection. HS-1790T can be homogeneously blended with base resins by high-speed mixers, twin-screw extruders and other equipment to guarantee good dispersion and optimal antioxidant performance.
