Description

Ruite® Imported Transparent Plastic Color Stabilizer HS-CAP is a colorless benzylidene malonate UV absorber, mainly used for transparent PC / PET / PMMA. Its maximum absorption wavelength is 320 nm, and the molar extinction coefficient is greater than 37000 L·mol⁻¹·cm⁻¹. Its physical network structure enables it to absorb high-energy UV rays and function as a physical barrier. Even under harsh climatic and demanding service conditions (e.g. automotive lamp housings), it can effectively block UV radiation and significantly delay yellowing or discoloration.

HS-CAP is compatible with various plastics such as PVC and PO. It is especially recommended for transparent engineering plastics including PC, PET, PS and PMMA. It is a high-performance, easy-to-process UV absorber for engineering plastics. Its balanced outstanding properties meet stringent application requirements, such as light diffusers for automotive headlamps.

Performance Advantages

HS-CAP does not react with polymerization catalysts or residual metal ions generated during processing. It will not cause color shift of the protected plastics triggered by metal ions. It features a broad absorption range and provides effective absorption in the short-wavelength UV-B region, suitable for plastics including PVC and PO.

Dosage

Recommended dosage: 0.1%–0.3%. Adjust the dosage according to different substrates and application scenarios.
