Description

Riquit® Anti-Aging Masterbatch MX-8T is a high-efficiency anti-aging masterbatch engineered to improve the weather resistance of plastic products. Adopting advanced compounding technology, it is formulated with scientifically blended UV absorbers, light stabilizers and antioxidants. It features long-lasting anti-aging performance and outstanding weather resistance. Suitable for PP, PE, ABS and other materials, it can extend the service life of outdoor plastic products to more than 8 years while maintaining color stability and physical properties.

Product Features

1. Multi-dimensional anti-aging system MX-8T adopts a ternary synergistic system consisting of UV absorbers (UV-A/UV-B), hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS) and composite antioxidants (primary antioxidant + secondary antioxidant). It achieves long-term protection via the following mechanisms:

• UV absorbers: selectively absorb ultraviolet rays in the 280–400 nm range and reduce chain degradation triggered by photo-oxidation reactions.
• Hindered amine light stabilizers: capture free radicals, block oxidative degradation cycles and slow down material embrittlement.
• Antioxidant combination: primary antioxidants (e.g., hindered phenols) suppress thermal oxidation, while secondary antioxidants (e.g., phosphites) decompose hydroperoxides to form dual protection.

2. Extra-long weathering cycle

• Laboratory test: 3500 hours of QUV accelerated weathering (equivalent to 8 years outdoor exposure), with yellowing index ΔYI ≤ 3.0 and tensile strength retention >90%.
• Practical application: No chalking or cracking of products after 8 years of outdoor exposure; mechanical property attenuation rate <15%. Suitable for regions with extreme climates.

3. Broad-spectrum protection and compatibility

• Full-spectrum protection: covers UVA, UVB and partial UVC, and simultaneously resists ozone attack, microbial degradation and thermal-oxidative aging.
• Resin compatibility: Designed for non-polar resins such as PP, PE and ABS. High compatibility is achieved through surface modification technology to avoid blooming and whitening.
• Processing adaptability: Compatible with injection molding, extrusion, blow molding and other processes.

4. Economy and environmental friendliness

• Low loading level: A dosage of 1–2% can meet industrial protection standards, reducing consumption by 30% compared with conventional masterbatches.
• Environmental compliance: Compliant with RoHS/REACH standards. Heavy-metal-free and low migration, applicable to sensitive fields such as food packaging and medical devices.

Application

Recommended loading ratio: 1%–2% (calculated based on the total mass of the base material). The specific dosage can be fine-tuned according to different production processes such as injection molding and extrusion to ensure uniform dispersion of additives.
