Description

Riquit® Imported Light Stabilizer HX-144T is a hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) that also contains functional groups of hindered phenolic antioxidant. It significantly extends the service life of coatings by reducing coating defects such as cracking and gloss loss. Meanwhile, HX-144T can improve the electrostatic adhesion of powder coatings.

When used together with the UV absorbers listed in the recommended dosage section, HX-144T can greatly enhance the weather resistance of coatings. The synergistic effect delivers excellent inhibition against gloss reduction, cracking, blistering, delamination and discoloration. In addition, HX-144T suppresses resin yellowing during high-temperature baking.

This light stabilizer can be incorporated into intermediate coats and clear coats of two-layer automotive coating systems. Based on practical experience, adding this stabilizer to the top coat achieves the best protective effect.

For powder coatings, HX-144T provides tribocharging performance, bringing the following benefits:

• Improve powder transfer efficiency in tribostatic spraying and reduce powder recycling volume
• Enhance adhesion between powder coatings and substrates
• Improve wrapping coverage of workpieces during spraying

Application & Dosage

HX-144T may react with acidic components in coating systems, such as acid catalysts. Testing is required before application under such conditions.

Recommended dosage (based on resin solids): For clear coats and single-layer metallic coatings: 0.5–1% HX-144T + 1–3% UV absorber 1130 or UV absorber 400
