Riquit® Imported Light Stabilizer 2020 Pellets is a high-molecular-weight block oligomeric hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS). It exhibits excellent compatibility and high extraction resistance in polymers. A unique feature of Light Stabilizer 2020 Pellets is its very narrow molecular weight distribution, which ensures consistent performance during handling and processing. Combining the typical advantages of multiple high-molecular-weight light stabilizers, it delivers outstanding light and thermal stability for polymers, together with auxiliary benefits including improved polymer processability and enhanced pigment color development.
This high-molecular-weight block oligomeric HALS provides an optimal balance of excellent UV resistance, long-term thermal stability, minimal pigment interaction and improved melt flow control. It offers superior UV stability for PP fibers, PP tapes, PE films, as well as thick PP and PE articles. In addition, it provides distinctive long-term thermal protection for filled PP products and carbon-black filled systems. Light Stabilizer 2020 Pellets works efficiently as a long-term thermal stabilizer for both thin and thick goods and features high extraction resistance.
This high-molecular-weight HALS is used for anti-aging treatment of polymer materials such as plastics and rubbers. Its light stabilizing efficiency is 2–4 times that of conventional UV-absorbing light stabilizers. It shows good compatibility with many resins. It is a fast-growing category of stabilizers and performs efficiently for polyolefins (PP, PE), EVA and other olefin copolymers, as well as PP-elastomer blends. Furthermore, Light Stabilizer 2020 Pellets works effectively in certain cases for polyacetals, polyamides, polyurethanes, flexible & rigid PVC, PVC blends, some styrenic elastomers and specialty adhesives.
*For unpigmented or lightly pigmented articles, or to boost the lightfastness of certain organic pigments, co-use with UV absorbers (e.g. 326 / 328 or 531) is recommended.
