Description

UV absorber UV-3035 is a cyanoacrylate-type UV absorber. It absorbs ultraviolet light at 270–340 nm, with an absorption peak at 302 nm. Its molecular structure contains no phenolic hydroxyl groups and delivers excellent chemical stability. Modified by ester groups, it shows outstanding compatibility with coating resins. UV-3035 has good solubility in MEK, which is well compatible with acrylic resins. It is used in topcoats to improve coating durability. Remarkable synergistic effect can be achieved when used together with light stabilizers. The typical dosage is 0.1–0.5%.

Application & Dosage

It is suitable for polystyrene, styrene copolymers, polyvinyl chloride, polycarbonate, acrylic coatings, polyurethane coatings, varnishes, gel coats, container coatings, acrylic and vinyl adhesives. It is applied in coating topcoats to enhance the light resistance of coatings and features good compatibility with acrylic resins. As a UV absorber, it is widely used in plastics, coatings, dyes, automotive glazing and cosmetics.
