Description

UV Absorber UV-1164 is a hydroxyphenyltriazine UV absorber. It absorbs ultraviolet rays in the range of 280–380 nm, with absorption peaks at 293 nm and 342 nm. It features good compatibility, low volatility, excellent durability, low migration, superior thermal stability and high absorption efficiency. It also delivers long-lasting UV absorption performance and will not complex with metal ions.

Application & Dosage

It is suitable for polyester, polyamide, polyetheramine, polyoxymethylene, acrylate, ABS resin. It is especially recommended for transparent and translucent engineering plastics, as well as films, sheets and boards of PA, PP, PE, PET and PMMA. Recommended dosage: 0.2–0.4% for polyethylene; 0.15–0.3% for polycarbonate; 0.1–0.5% for ABS resin.

Applicable to polyoxymethylene, polyamide, polycarbonate, polyethylene, polyetheramine, ABS resin and polymethyl methacrylate. Particularly suitable for nylon and engineering plastics.
